Alternative / grunge / shoegaze from Sarnia, Ontario — songs for the people caught between who they are and who they’re becoming.
Recommended for first listen: Fall Through, Something To Say.
From The Ceiling is an alt-rock/grunge/shoegaze band from Sarnia, Ontario, writing for the people stuck in the in‑between — growing up, growing apart, and figuring out who they’re becoming.
They play for feel over polish; big, fuzzy guitars that stay massive live, drums that never pull punches, and vocals that continue to grow more melodic without losing their edge. Their shows are often described as “visceral,” driven by physical energy and presence on stage. The songwriting leans intuitive, with riffs and chord movements that don’t always follow the rulebook but always serve the song. If you’re into Title Fight (Floral Green, Spring Songs), Basement, Ovlov, or Dogleg, you’re in their lane.
In 2025, From The Ceiling were co‑winners of the Road to Revelree competition, finishing in the top 2 of 20 bands and earning a spot on the main Revelree Festival stage, opening the night for acts including Bedouin Soundclash and The Strumbellas. With that momentum, the band is looking to grow beyond Sarnia and establish themselves as a regional name, bringing their live show and their brand of in‑between anthems to new rooms and new cities.
